EU road safety summit in Italy in the Eternal City
On 18 September 2013 ETSC (European Traffic Safety Council) invited to fall PIN Talk to Rome. Focus of the lecture series was the Italian road safety work in the recent years. Here, a continuing positive trend can be identified. ETSC Executive Director Antonio Avenoso welcomed Maurizio Lupi, the reigning Italian Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure (see photo), who wants to orientate consistently on Brussels in the future: „Noi italiani deviamo adeguarci all’Europa.“ / „We Italians have to adjust to Europe.“ In addition, examples of efficient road safety work in various other EU Member States were presented, among others by Alberto Arbaiza (Spain), Joel Valmain (France) and Anna Vadey (Sweden).
