MOVING ORGANISED WITH DEKRA AND ETRASA  A CONFERENCE ABOUT ROAD SAFETY IN SPAIN.

The 5th October 2016, DEKRA-Spain with the collaboration of MOVING and the national Spanish Member ETRASA, celebrated in Madrid the presentation of the DEKRA European Road Safety Report 2016. It has been the first time that this Report has been presented in Spain.

 

The most relevant actors from the road safety side in Europe and in Spain participated in this important event: ETSC (European Transport Safety Council), DGT (General Direction of Traffic) , Ministerio de Fomento (Transport National Authority), (CEOE), Private sector of professional passengers and freight and logistics  companies in Spain and the main national associations from vehicles and roads, etc.

 

During its intervention, MOVING focused the attention on the importance of road safety education and training for professional and normal drivers and the new challenges that education and training must face in this period with new developments, as the new automated systems that are already coming into the European market.

 

MOVING also highlighted two relevant initiatives that will come for the European Commission in the next months. The  Directive for professional driver’s training: the European Commission is going to launch  a new proposal for professional drivers at the end of this year 2016,  and also concerning the  Directive of driving licences, a consortium of partners composed by TRL; BASt; Swov, Loughborough University, Monash University will publish  a study on driver training, testing and medical fitness also at the end of this year.
